It's baaaaaack. Red Carpet season is upon us! Time to tune in to all the glamour a Californian Sunday afternoon has to offer and see stars dressed to the nines in the most coveted designer looks. Bring on the Emmys! Am I disappointed someone didn't wear my favorite Proenza Schouler dress? Yes. However, it wouldn't have fit in with the big trend of the night- shades of pale.
One of last night's Emmy Award winners also wins Savoir-Flair's best dressed. Get it, Julia Louis-Dreyfus! Bonus points that she thanked one of my former producers by name in her speech. (You rock, HBO!)

Nominee Kerry Washington rocked two big trends in one- the pale hues were my favorite reoccurring theme but lace also appeared on the majority of the dresses. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of lace but Kerry's Marchesa dress nailed it.

Gorgeous and simple, this Calvin Klein dress on Rose Byrne was perfection.

I'm pretty sure Claire Danes wore a similar look to Rose's a few years ago ("Bitch stole my look," Jone Rangers) but her Armani Prive paillettes shined bright like diamonds. I can also support the lace on this dress.

Taylor Schilling proved white is the new black...not orange. Love her hair and make-up too!

And how precious is this little Made Men star? Her Delpozo dress is so age appropriate and still chic. Train 'em young!

We also have to give it up for some bodacious bods. Tina Fey and Christina Hendricks rocked those curves unapologetically!!

I'm so glad all of these ladies brought the fashion to the Carpet. Otherwise, it would have been an underwhelming night. Been there...seen that. However, the hot pale hues are a definitive tribute to spring 2014- be prepared to tuck away your neons and crazy mixed patterns for soft and simple glam pieces come April...
