Sale-ing Away

It's the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, it's unofficially summer and, yes, lots of us just had fabulous long weekends. But it's really and truly wonderful because it's the beginning of the biannual Net-A-Porter sale!

NOW is the time to spring for some serious fashion pieces that maybe were out of our reach before. Seriously, ladies, Net-A-Porter does not offer items on sale throughout the year. Their sales only run at the end of May and December and they carry the best. Valentino? It's on sale. Carven? Come and get your discount. DVF wrap dress for less? You betcha.

I know I'll be looking for swimsuits and summery tops at the sale. What about you? Keep in mind that items go fast here but Net-A-Porter also will gradually add more items and offer deeper discount. Happy sale-ing!!

Sub-$100 Sale Picks

Well, we made it! Another Christmas has come and gone. I hope you enjoyed a fun-filled holiday shared with family and friends. You might have even scored a little Christmas cash from Santa! Lucky for you, the sales are ON and now is a great time to pick up pieces that you might not otherwise be able to afford.

I scoured Bauble Bar, Shopbop and Net-A-Porter to select some of the best sale options for under $100 and am sharing them with you! Keep in mind that you may score pieces that are out of season, like tanks and swimsuits. Layer them up now and, come April, you'll thank yourself.

Have you checked out any of the sales online? There is a LOT more where these came from. Let me know what you find!

One Skirt Three Ways

My Pinterest feed seems to be blowing up with fall florals lately. From the runway to reality, the most stylish gals have found clever ways to work a typically springy print into their fall wardrobe with the ease of a full skirt.

Then, this morning, imagine my delight when a Net-A-Porter email popped up in my inbox and this J. Crew skirt presented itself...ahhhhhh. Can you hear the angels singing? Is the universe trying to tell me something?

There are so many ways to wear a floral skirt this fall so with the help of the three inspirational photos above, I present you one skirt worn three ways...

First, we have the fearless tomboy. She's casual in chambray and a man's style watch but nonchalant when it comes to the "rules," as made evident by her mix of leopard print and pony hair.

Then you have the glamour girl. She can't say no to sparkle or shine but does her best to stay down to earth with a wedge bootie and boho-inspired bag.

Sweater/ Skirt/ Earrings/ Clutch/ Bootie (on sale!)

Finally, it's easy to be footloose and fancy free when you wear your favorite Breton-striped tee and go hands-free with a crossbody messenger bag. Your trademark monogram necklace reminds people you know who you are and where you came from even if you did add a few extra inches to your frame with no-nonsense suede wedges.

So which girl are you?

Front Row Fashion: Net-A-Porter

Oh how I love these ads!

Right off the bat, the glitz and glamour greet us, causing me to swoon. The models photographed look like the six sisters of style, and there's no good reason why we commoners can't take a piece of each outfit and integrate it into our everyday looks.

(A statement necklace here. A leopard accent there. Oh! A chic and timeless camel coat too!)

When you look at these shots a little longer, they really do make us feel like we're sitting on the front row...waiting for Chanel's spring or Vera Wang bridal to parade by us...Maybe we're fashion editors, celubutantes or big name buyers...

Thanks, Net-A-Porter, for helping a girl live her dream. Even if it is vicariously through your brilliant ads.
