So what if it's 90-plus degrees today? I can't stop thinking about fall! 

Pre-fall collections get me pumped. These pieces are especially great for autumns down here in the South since most of the materials are still breathable and fairly lightweight. Regardless of the temperature in your region, the new pieces below are all instant classics with just the enough of a modern twist. Yes, some of them are pricey but let their cuts, fabrics and styles be an inspiration to you if you're on a budget.

You could easily start putting these pieces to work in your wardrobe now...except I might wait on wearing boots at least another month. The rag & bone blazer would look polished at work with a floaty ivory tank and black tailored shorts now- swap out your white tank for a burgundy version and add full length trousers when the frigid temps arrive. Pair your Tibi top with a flirty black skirt when you get together with friends for cocktails now...appear festive with gorgeously printed silk pants come wintertime. Wrap up in your TB sweater inside a chilly movie theater or living room until it's time to throw on a pair of jeans for a laidback luxe look later.

I hope you get as excited about this last collection as I have been. Oscar de la Renta debuted this collection days ago but I have been too busy ooh-ing and ahh-ing over it to actually share it...I'm sorry- I guess I wanted it all to myself!

No one needs to tell you that these pieces are timeless and transcend the bounds of time, seasons and age. Couldn't you just as easily see the finale coral dress on Sarah Hyland as you could on Julianna Margulies? We'll be eagerly awaiting the Red Carpet at the SAG Awards thanks to Mr. de la Renta.

More Pre-Fall Peeks

Pre-fall looks are getting me super excited for a few purchases next year. In fact, Moda Operandi recently opened up their Rag & Bone Pre-fall trunk show, so you can order your items now and expect them anywhere between March and July. Gotta love that! Another great aspect to Pre-fall perusing can involved gathering inspiration for your looks today! For example, leather bomber jackets, tops, skirts, pants and vests have been seen everywhere from Jenni Kayne to DKNY. Invest in a leather piece now and where it for each and every season to come in the next year...and most likely longer!

Thakoon Addition:

Military inspired color palette (think olives, burnt oranges and tweedy grays)

Do you covet any of these items? I am seriously contemplating ordering this last Rag & Bone leather bib dress from Moda Operandi. It seems like an item I could wear year round (especially good for the South since a full on leather ensemble could send me into sweat lodge-style faints). Could someone else please get me that blue and white Thakoon sweater or the entire second look from Thakoon Addition? Like I said, since you can't have any of these now, it's a great time to draw a little inspiration. Anybody got any yarn?

Pre-Fall Peek

I, for one, happen to love all of the in between seasons. The less trendy but equally stylish items from Resort, Holiday and Pre-Fall have become some of my favorite pieces in my own wardrobe. Breathable materials allow for seasonal transitions while some great neutral tones get cut into interesting shapes.
