Bright colors. Bold patterns. Statement accessories. Those sartorial pieces seem to serve as staple items in all of Miroslava Duma's street style looks. The 28-year-old Russian and former editor of Harper's Bazaar Russia has been dominating the scene over in Asia for years. Without realizing it, I've been a longtime admirer of hers and was inspired by that very first image of a brunette in a citron gown months ago. Then recently this petite lady caught my eye again in a fashion story and I've been taking tips from her ever since.

Founder of Buro 24/7, Mira, as her friends call her (and obvi we are going to be friends!), mixes some of the most complicated pieces with the greatest of ease. But keeping everything from the bag to her hemlines in proportion to her frame is what makes her outfits work! She often chooses clothing with interesting and precise construction and is never without a four-inch platform. Textiles that most of us would consider standout fabrics serve as basics in her wardrobe. Mastering the mix is never a simple task and not for the faint of heart. Prepare to get attention when you dress like Mira but, if you do it right, the attention will be all good!

While Mira's favorite designers might be Proenza Schouler, Marni and Chanel, you can still land her look for less. Check out these Mira-inspired pieces below!

Tibi's Summer Sale!

If you've stalled on buying your spring/summer favorites from retailers online, then now is the time for you to reap your rewards! Check out Tibi's summer sale going on now with great pieces discounted up to 60% off! There are some really good pieces available still. Many of these pieces are actually seasonless. You can wear a leather skirt now with a tank and strappy sandals and then layer a pair of tights underneath and a sweater over top come winter. And speaking of sweaters, the stylized armadillo pullover is calling my name! With the AC blasting in my office 12 hours a day, buying a sweater in the middle of the summer actually sounds practical. Check out more of my favorites below and let me know which ones you like!

Sophisticated Statements

image via Instagram

There's nothing I love more in the summertime than piling statement accessories on over solid basics. It's a cool and crisp look that never goes out of style. It works for nearly every occasion and every age. And it's completely accessible.

Accessories line Dylanlex (pictured above) is all about maxing out in the jewelry department. Her pieces are showstopping and turn an everyday t-shirt into a Red Carpet appropriate look. But if the neo-Gothic trend isn't your style, that's okay. There's a sophisticated statement piece for every style and budget. Keep in mind when you wear these pieces to keep the rest of your look really simple- no bright colors, no frills and no competing accessories.

That being said, rules are always meant to be broken but tread lightly when introducing crazy patterns or cuts to these statement making accessories. It takes a seasoned pro to mix patterns and statement pieces without looking like she just broke out of the loony bin. A dab will do you but if you do go for the max, go all the way...and send me a pic.

Soft Hued Living Rooms

I'm not sure if it's because Radiant Orchid is the Pantone Color of the Year or if it's the transition to warmer weather but has anyone else noticed the huge resurgence of pastel home decor? These days, soft hued accents have become super chic rather than 1980s faux pas. (Think Kelly Wearstler rather then Miami Vice.) The key to keeping these rooms interesting and current is the variance of textures. Each of the images above features a mix of crisp flat weave, soft velvet, shiny lacquer and marble, metal and/or wood. Even the folks at Bravo TV have gotten in on the action with their promo shot of "Ladies of London!"

If it's good enough for the Brits, it's good enough for me!

So tell me- Are you into the pastel living room look? Or do you need a little more excitement in your surroundings?
